Jacquelyn Nicole Copeland and Livingston Anthony Miller II were married Thursday in Brooklyn. The Rev. Gerald Shaw, a minister of the Christian Cultural Center, performed a ceremony with only the couple and their witnesses in attendance, in the center's chapel.

On Saturday, with the couple's family and friends gathered in Paris, the Rev. Rudolph Nickens Jr., a minister with the World Christianship Ministry, led a second ceremony, which was nondenominational, at the Four Seasons Hotel George V.

The bride and groom met in 2009 at the University of Pennsylvania, from which she received a medical degree and he both a law degree and an M.B.A. degree.

Dr. Copeland-Miller, 29, is a second-year radiology resident at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. She graduated magna cum laude from Howard University.

She is a daughter of Barbara Douglas Copeland and Jethro N. Copeland of Cincinnati. The bride's parents own several McDonald's franchises in the Cincinnati metropolitan area as well as residential rental properties in Brooklyn, Houston, Washington and Cincinnati.

Mr. Miller, 29, is an associate in the mergers and acquisitions group at the New York law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell. He graduated from Penn State.

He is the son of Sally D. Hammonds of Blythewood, S.C., and Livingston A. Miller of Manhattan. The groom's mother is the owner of Youthful Radiance Spa, which has locations in Columbia, S.C., and in Mount Pleasant, S.C. His father is a partner in Exceed Physical Culture, a fitness center with locations in Manhattan and East Hampton, N.Y. He is the manager of the Manhattan location.
