Azmina Noorallah Jasani and Faheem Karim Amin Madhani were married Friday at Hotel El Convento in San Juan, P.R. The Rev. Cory Casterton, a nondenominational minister who was ordained by the Elim Fellowship, officiated. On Monday, the couple is to have a religious ceremony at the Manhattan Ismaili Jamatkhana, a prayer center where they met in 2009. Mayur Lakhani, a friend of the couple who is affiliated with the center, is to lead it.
The bride, 30, will continue to use her name professionally. She is an associate in the Manhattan office of the London law firm Withers Worldwide. She graduated summa cum laude from Queens College and received a law degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
She is the daughter of Yasmin Noorallah Jasani and Noorallah Hussain Jasani of Rego Park, Queens.
The groom, 29, is a vice president in the emerging markets technology group in the Manhattan office of Credit Suisse. He manages information technology projects, like the development of software, that help traders manage risk. He graduated with a master's in engineering in computing from Imperial College London.
He is the son of Hushna Ara Amin Madhani and Amin Abdul Madhani of London.
