Have you picked up your copy of the new Spring/Summer issue of D Weddings? Not only is it gorgeous, but it's chock full of tips and inspiration for your upcoming nuptials. Flip to the "Flowers in Fashion" bouquet feature. We asked local florists and event designers to turn to trends in fashion (color blocking, graphic patterns, and rock and roll) to inspire their arrangements. Today I'm sneaking in a peek of two of the bouquets we featured in the story. The arrangements compliment a vintage look. Think grandmother's broaches, antique lace, an heirloom gown, and maybe even a pillbox hat.
Stems of Dallas chose a colorful mix of ivory, peony, eucalpytus nut, veronica, geranium leaf, blush spray roses, ranunculus, ivory hydrangea, orange thistle, willow eucalyptus, ruffled-edge mondial roses, and amigo roses. Jackson Durham Floral Event Design put together a pretty collection of coral charm peonies, viburnum, and geranium leaves to pair with the darling Charlotte Olympia shoes, Jennifer Behr comb, and Nina Ricci clutch.
